Service Description

Oakwood Learning Center is offering an early childhood development class from 9:00am to 11:00am for 2 and 3 year olds. The January to June session runs from January 5, 2026 to June 12, 2026. Sessions will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The class will be limited in size so individual attention can be given to each student. Lessons and activities will be age appropriate and thought provoking, focusing on fine motor skills, movement, and spatial awareness. Students will also work on socialization and cooperative learning with their peers in a warm and nurturing environment. Virginie Ligot will be leading the class along with Erin Brinley Together they bring a wealth of experience to the classroom. Virginie Ligot has taught world languages and yoga to preschoolers since 2018 at The Rumson Country Day School, Gan Yeladim Preschool, and Oakwood Learning Center all located in Rumson, NJ. She holds a B.A. in World Languages from the Institut Supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes in Brussels. Virginie primarily works with Nursery-1st grade students to instill the passion of languages and mindfulness from an early age. It is her belief that these are essential tools to enhance communication within ourselves, our community, and beyond. Erin Brinley runs the children’s programming at The Navesink Library, dedicated to providing a space for the community to engage in artistic and educational activities- including fine arts classes, meditation, holiday choirs, theater and STEM programs. Erin is a certified Substitute Teacher with the State of New Jersey and a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Instructor. She has been teaching yoga and meditation for 15 years. Erin loves working with young children and believes in the immense benefits of a play-based early childhood education model. Registration options Monday/Wednesday: January 5 to June 10 $3000 (no class Jan 19 and Feb 16) Tuesday/Friday: January 6 to June 12 $3150 One day option or add on days: Mondays: January 5 to June 8 $1425 (no class Jan 19 and Feb 16) Tuesdays: January 6 to June 9 $1575 Wednesdays: January 7 to June 10 $1575 Friday: January 9 to June 12 $1575 No classes for Spring Break March 30 through April 10 Please register early as class size is limited.
