I'm a Big Kid Now Sessions with Virginie
Starting on Tues and Fridays in Sept! Come and play, grow, learn, and create! Ages 2 to 3 years old.
Service Description
Oakwood Learning Center is offering an early childhood development class from 9:00am to 11:00am for 2 and 3 year olds from September 2024 to December 2024 and January 2025 to June 2025. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays. There is a 1 day or 2 day option. The class will be limited in size so individual attention can be given to each student. Lessons and activities will be age appropriate and thought provoking, focusing on fine motor skills, movement, and spatial awareness. Students will also work on socialization and cooperative learning with their peers in a warm and nurturing environment. Virginie Ligot will be leading the class and comes with a wealth of experience. She has taught French, Spanish, yoga, and mindfulness at the preschool level. Virginie Ligot, Teacher Virginie Ligot has taught world languages and yoga to preschoolers since 2018 at The Rumson Country Day School, Gan Yeladim Preschool, and Oakwood Learning Center all located in Rumson, NJ. She holds a B.A. in World Languages from the Institut Supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes in Brussels. While working as a court translator in Belgium, her birthplace, Virginie became a world traveler and has lived on three different continents. After spending time in India, she trained as a Hatha yoga instructor, specializing in mindfulness and emotional learning. This subsequently led her to become a certified Laughter Yoga instructor. Virginie primarily works with Nursery-1st grade students to instill the passion of languages and mindfulness from an early age. It is her belief that these are essential tools to enhance communication within ourselves, our community, and beyond. Options and prices for September to December: 1 Day Option: Every Tuesday from September 10 to December 17 (No class Nov 26)- $700 1 Day Option: Every Friday from September 13 to December 20 (No class Nov 29)- $700 2 Day Option: Every Tuesday and Friday from September 10 to December 20- $1450 (No class Nov 26 and Nov 29) Options and prices for January to June: 1 Day Option: Every Tuesday from January 14 to June 10- $1000 1 Day Option: Every Friday from January 17 to June 13- $1000 2 Day Option: Every Tuesday and Friday from January 14 to June 13- $2000 There are no classes the week of March 10-14 and April 14-18.
